We’re deploying our expertise, networks, and a €50M investment until 2030 into A Million Conversations to rebuild trust in healthcare with marginalized communities.
Paul Hudson announced our global initiative at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, and throughout 2023 we launched one-of-a-kind Sanofi NexGen scholarship, internal dialogues, and external conferences around the world to empower people to speak directly to the healthcare industry.
Many people, especially from groups underrepresented in healthcare, have had negative experiences with their healthcare provider, undermining their faith in the systems that should be caring for them.
That’s the trust gap, and we’re helping to bridge it. We’re having as many conversations as it takes to understand what patients and their communities need.
In 2023, we inaugurated A Million Conversations in five countries - Brazil, France, Japan, the UK, and the U.S. - hosting or taking part in events bringing communities and policymakers face-to- face. These dialogues are essential for improving healthcare experiences and building trust.
In our workplace, more than 6,000 Sanofians shared their experiences of trust in healthcare through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). We also brought A Million Conversations to 18 high-profile external events and conferences.
