Signature Event: AI+Education=Inclusion?”

Every new tool comes with new challenges. While artificial intelligence (AI) has enormous potential, it also comes with serious risks to equity and inclusion.

As we set out to become the first pharma company to use AI at scale, we’re building inclusive thinking into the process to ensure this emerging technology serves everyone equitably.

Paul Hudson hosted our first DE&I Signature event at our HQ in Paris to explore the intersection of AI, Education, and DE&I. We welcomed representatives from educational institutions, tech companies, and the pharma industry to meet with each other.

The 100% diverse suppliers created an immersive, sensory experience, with food tasting, music, art, and eye-opening exploration of adaptive digital technologies.

In 2023 we spent more than €1.45B with small and diverse suppliers, and we have more than doubled our women-owned business spend, far surpassing expectations.

Our supplier diversity program builds relationships with small- and medium-sized enterprises owned by women, LGBTQ+, people with disability, veterans, and those from disadvantaged and minority communities.
